I recently had a chance to fish the Truckee River with a couple of Cal Trout's ambassadors. It was a epic day on the water, even with the typical afternoon passing thunder shower. The fish were a bit finicky, but we had a chance to bring some to hand. I'm always thrilled to hit up some waters in my home state, especially in the heart of the Sierras. Cal Trout is an amazing organization dedicated to preserving rivers and bodies of water within California. Their most recent effort is geared towards the stunning Smith River. Have a look!
