DECEMBER ON THE METOLIUS RIVER

Headed up to the Metolius River for an early pre-snow December outing with Scott Cook from Fly and Field Outfitters and his folks.   We all hooked up on some fish which was great, but Scott got the prize of a big Bull Trout!  As always the Metolius provided another day of beauty and fun.

GRINDSTONE LAKES & LAKE IN THE DUNES

The folks at Fly & Field Outfitters here in Bend invited me to the Grindstone Lakes in Central Oregon.  Grindstone Lakes is a private series of lakes on the famous G.I. Ranch that holds some amazing trophy sized rainbow trout.  While on the trip I met Russell Scott who manages the Grindstone and also Lake in the Dunes, which he invited me to come and photograph.  Not only is Lake in the Dunes another great series of private lakes, but a hunting preserve as well.  I've never gone hunting before, but I had a literal blast out there photographing the guys and the doggies hunting pheasants.
